Patricia (Whalen) Boyle (April 28) in Hingham. Funeral Mass celebrated May 10 at Saint Joseph Church, Holbrook, for the mother of Catherine Ryan; John, Ellen Landry, and Kenneth all of Hingham; and sister of Gail McCuan, also of Hingham. She was the widow of Deacon John F. Boyle, '00. Mrs. Boyle was buried in Saint Mary Cemetery, Randolph.

Evelyn (Mannion) Doherty

Evelyn (Mannion) Doherty (May 8) in Cambridge. Funeral Mass Celebrated May 11 at Saint Peter, Cambridge, for the mother of Thomas, Susan, and Coleen Casella, all of Cambridge; and sister of Msgr. Joseph Mannion, Camden, N.J.; Sister Monica Mannion, RSM, Mayo, Ireland; Irene Day, Jarlath Mannion, and Maretta Lavin, all of Mayo, Ireland. Mrs. Doherty was buried in Cambridge Cemetery, Cambridge.

Father John R. Mulvehill

Father John R. Mulvehill (May 4) in Falmouth. Funeral Mass celebrated May 13 at Saint Anthony of Padua, Cohasset, for the son of the late John and Margaret (Doggett) Mulverhill. Since ordination Feb. 2, 1957, he served at Saint Mary, Randolph; Saint Benedict, Somerville; Saint Francis Xavier, Weymouth, Saint Anthony of Padua, Cohasset; Cardinal Cushing College, Brookline, president; Office of Religious Education, director. Father Charles E. Cunniff, CSP

Father Charles E. Cunniff, CSP (May 2) in Boston. Funeral Mass celebrated May 11 at Holy Spirit Chapel, Park Street, Boston, for the son of the late Charles and Constance (Jewett) Cuniff; and brother of Patricia Tencza; John, Paul, Mary Rogalski, Margaret Price, and Katherine Jonkman, all of Meriden, Conn. During 40 years of priestly ministry, Father Cunniff served in assignments of the Paulist fathers in Toronto, Ont.; Mich.; Ohio; Tenn.; Texas; and, locally, at the Paulist Center, Boston. Father Cunniff was buried in Saint Thomas the Apostle Cemetery, Oak Ridge, N.J.

Sister Anne (Mary Philip Charles) Dupuis, SMSM

Sister Anne (Mary Philip Charles) Dupuis, SMSM (May 2) in Lincoln. Funeral Mass celebrated May 7 at Marist Sisters Convent Chapel, Waltham, for the daughter of the late Philip and Eva (Lavalee) Dupuis. During 62 years of religious life, Sister Anne served in congregational assignments in Fiji; Jamaica; United States Virgin Islands; Fla.; N.Y.; and, locally, at Marist Sisters, Waltham. Sister Anne was buried in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Watertown.

Ronald E. L'Italien

Ronald E. L'Italien (April 17) in Exeter, N.H. Funeral Mass celebrated April 26 at Saint Stanislaus Church, Nashua, N.H., for the husband of Dawn (Whitney), Exeter, N.H.; and father of Edward, Joseph, Katarina Glod, Andrew Sinclair, Ariana Sinclair, and Alexander Sinclair, all of Exeter, N.H.; son of Deacon George, Pebody; and brother of Janice Healey, Brian, and Susan Jutras, all of Peabody. Mr. L'Italien was buried in Saint Stanislaus Cemetery, Nashua, N.H.

Charlene (Lafferty) Muscato

Charlene (Lafferty) Muscato (April 25) in Tyngsborough. Funeral Mass celebrated May 4 at Saint John the Evangelist Church, Chelmsford, for the mother of Matthew, Libertyville, Ill.; Shane, Pensacola, Fla.; and Meaghan, Tyngsborough; and sister of Sister Mary Lou Lafferty, OSF, Alleghany, N.Y. Mrs. Muscato was buried in Saint Patrick Cemetery, Lowell.

Father James A. Wenzel, OSA

Father James A. Wenzel, OSA (April 24) in Villanova, Penn. Funeral Mass celebrated May 2 at Christ the Teacher Church, Andover, for the son of the late William and Gertrude (McFadden) Wenzel. During almost 68 years of priestly ministry, Father Wenzel served in assignments of the Augustinian Friars, Saint Thomas of Villanova Province, in Italy; Washington, D.C.; Fla.; N.Y.; Penn.; Wisc.; and, locally, at Saint Augustine Parish, Andover; Merrimack College, North Andover; and Saint Augustine and Immaculate Conception, both in Lawrence. Father Wenzel was buried in Saint Mary Cemetery, Lawrence.

Brother James P. (Campion) Eckert, CFX

Brother James P. (Campion) Eckert, CFX (April 27) in Danvers. Funeral Mass celebrated May 1 at Saint John Preparatory School Chapel, Danvers, for the son of the late William and Eizabeth (Rafferty) Eckert. During 60 years of religious life, Brother James served in assignments of the Xaverian Brothers in Washington, D.C.; Conn.; Ky.; N.Y.; Penn.; W. Va.; and, locally, at Malden Catholic, Malden; and Xaverian House, Danvers. Brother James was buried in the Xaverian Cemetery, Danvers.

Father William T. Pearsall

Father William T. Pearsall (April 21) in Boston. Funeral Mass celebrated May 8 at Saint Margaret of Scotland Church, Lowell, for the son of the late William and Esther (Fox) Pearsall, and brother of Elizabeth Kinch, Littleton, Colo.; and Paul, Chelmsford; and nephew of the late Father Ernest P. Pearsall, and Sister Mary (Ernest) Pearsall, CSJ. During 70 years of priestly ministry, Father Pearsall, who was ordained on Sept. 29, 1953, served in assignments at Saint John Chrysostom, West Roxbury (1953-1956); Saint Joseph, Wakefield (1956-1959); and the Missionary Society of Saint James the Apostle, (1959-2000). Father Francis J. Ryan, SJ (April 16)

Father Francis J. Ryan, SJ (April 16) in Weston. Funeral Mass celebrated April 24 at Holy Spirit Chapel, Weston, for the son of the late John and Mary Ann (Connelly) Ryan, and brother of the late Father Joseph L. Ryan, SJ; Father Lawrence M. Ryan, SJ; and Father Martin E. Ryan, SJ. Father Ryan was also a cousin of the late Bishop Lawrence J. Riley. During 68 years of priestly ministry in the Society of Jesus, he served in assignments of the United East Province of the Jesuits in Jamaica; Calif.; Lenox; and, locally, at Weston College, and Campion Center, both in Weston. Father Ryan was buried in the Jesuit Cemetery, Weston.

Father Charles E. Salamone

Father Charles E. Salamone (April 24) in Boston. As The Pilot was going to press, we received notice of the death of Father Charles E. Salamone. Ordained Dec. 7, 1975, he served in parish assignments at Saint Patrick, Stoneham (1976-1982); Saint Frances Xavier Cabrini, Scituate (1982-1991); Saint Clare, Braintree (1991-1997); Saint Agatha, Milton (1997-2001); and Chaplin, Saint Elizabeth Medical Center, Brighton (2001-2020); in residence, Sacred Heart, Watertown. Barbara (Lawless) Hinckley

Barbara (Lawless) Hinckley (April 17) in Framingham. Private funeral services celebrated for the wife of Walter, Waltham; and mother of Matthew, Phoenix, Ariz.; and Brett, Waltham; and sister of Jean and Marilyn, both of Waltham, and the late Sister Ann Marie (Kevin Maureen) Lawless, CSJ, and Sister Elizabeth (Jean Thomas) Lawless, CSJ. Mrs. Hinckley was buried in Calvary Cemetery, Waltham.
